Intercede Health has agreed to provide Consulting and Advisory services to the Hawaii Medical Service Association, a nonprofit health insurer serving more than 700,000 people throughout the state of Hawaii. Founded in 1938, and headquartered on Oahu, HMSA has centers statewide to serve it’s members. HMSA is an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Assc.
The agreement will primarily support the Medicare Advantage plans operated by HMSA, with approximately 38,000 members, with a start date in September.
According to Philip Sanger, M.D., Executive Chair of the Intercede Health Board, “we are so pleased to have the opportunity to work with such an outstanding organization, which has such a long and fruitful history of meeting the healthcare needs of the people of Hawaii”.
