Location:                     Intercede Health Corporate Headquarters – Houston, TX


The Physician Relations Representative is a vital part of the Intercede Health team.   Through the direction of the TCC Enrollment Manager, the Representative is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with physicians to ensure Enrollment Departmental goals are met.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and build relationships with patient referral sources through innovative marketing and client relationship strategies to maximize number of referrals;

  2. Develop rapport and meet or exceed client expectations through direct client communication;

  3. Utilize exceptional sales techniques to call and enroll new patients by scheduling them at the appropriate TCC clinic, including confirmation of first appointments and follow up appointments:

  4. Track the enrollment of members to include eligibility through the utilization of the EMR accurately and efficiently;

  5. Communicate with patients’ Primary Care Physician and Case Manager on appointments, rescheduled appointments, arrivals, disqualifications, inability to reach patient and any other concern in a friendly, concise, and clear manner;

  6. Provide weekly and monthly reports to leadership;

  7. Collaborate and communicate professionally with clinic staff in regards to new appointments, rescheduled appointments, and cancellations;

  8. Distribute New Patient information via email or mail in a timely and efficient manner;

  9. Upload discharged medical records into EMR in a timely and accurate manner;

  10. Respond to outside Medical Record requests for discharge patients and request from attorney’s office;

  11. And other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or other related field required;

  2. Sales and/ or customer service experience required;

  3. Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus;

  4. Experience with Electronic Medical Record preferred;

  5. Outstanding focus on customer service;

  6. Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to establish an immediate rapport with customers;

  7. High personal energy;

  8. Demonstrate integrity and respect in all professional encounters;

  9. Epitomize teamwork; always be willing to help move the business forward; and

  10. Critical thinking; always think about process improvement.  Bring solutions to problems.



HIPAA Requirements:

The Enrollment Manager will have access to Patient Health Information (PHI) in the course of his/her duties. PHI is necessary for all aspects of billing, patient’s accounts and communications with insurance companies. Applying the minimum necessary standard of HIPAA, the designated record sets to which this employee will have access to: all information in the practice management system, the full medical record, end of day reports from the practice management system, encounter forms, all communications from insurance companies, all collections
